Fiona Blackley presents at Scottish Transport Applications and Research (STAR) conference
12/05/2011
Fiona Blackley presented at the Scottish Transport Applications and Research (STAR) conference in Glasgow. The conference was held at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Thursday 12th May 2011. The presentation, entitled "Sustainable development – theory vs. reality" described the results of the research undertaken for the dissertation module of Fiona's MSc course in Transport Planning and Engineering at Edinburgh Napier University. Unfortunately, Fiona's presentation was scheduled for a parallel session in the post-lunch 'graveyard' slot! However, despite this timing, the session was well-attended by a variety of delegates from different organisations and transport fields. The concluding question and answer session drew a good range of questions which sparked some interesting debates, proving that even post-lunch presentations can be lively and engaging!
