06/09/2011

The CIVITAS Initiative for 'Cleaner and Better Transport in Cities' has recently launched its new and revised website. The improved site has a new design, structure and navigation system to make it more user-friendly. For example, the five RENAISSANCE cities now have an easy-to-access page on the main CIVITAS website which summarises the work being carried out in each location as part of the project.   Bath   Perugia   Szczecinek   Skopje   Gorna Oryahovitsa

The CIVITAS Initiative ("City-Vitality-Sustainability") which co-financed by the European Union was launched in 2002. The RENAISSANCE project forms part of the CIVITAS Plus programme which runs from 2008 to 2013, following on from CIVITAS I (2002 to 2006) and CIVITAS II (2005 to 2009). CIVITAS Plus involves 25 cities who are now working together through five collaborative projects to implement innovative measures in clean urban transport.
