MRCMH assisted the City of Edinburgh Council in preparing their Local Transport Strategy during 2006. This included project management of the workstreams required to ensure delivery of the Strategy within a very tight timescale and budget, in a complex political environment as a result of the rejection of the congestion charging proposals and major concerns over traffic management in the city centre. Significant changes to the institutional arrangements for transport planning and funding in Scotland had also just been instituted.
